Our history of interior office design dates back to 1977, where Sensyst (Sensible Systems Furniture) acted as a consulting firm assisting companies with their evolving office furniture needs. By 1987, Sensyst had evolved into a full-service contract furniture distributor, offering furniture, space planning and interior office design firms services.

Our experience began with the municipal, provincial and federal government as they were in need for a cost effective, functional and ergonomic interior office design to fit their needs. We then took that experience and by the late 1990’s grew Sensyst to being one of the leading interior office design companies in Toronto.

Being able to see the shift in the office space design industry, our product offerings had to always adapt and meet the needs of our clients. Small and medium sized businesses  that were growing, needed assistance effectively optimizing their interior office space and continued in choosing Sensyst as their partner.



In 1977, Sensyst (Sensible Systems Furniture) was founded as a consulting firm, to assist businesses with their evolving workplace and the resulting changes due to the advent of the personal computer. By 1987, we had evolved into a full-service contract furniture dealership, offering furnishings, space planning and limited interior design services. We focused primarily on the municipal, provincial and federal governments as they were in need of cost-effective, functional and ergonomic workstations and systems furniture to meet their needs.

By the late 1990’s we had added the services of a full-time interior designer to our staff, as our clients were looking to us to provide them with a full range of services relating to their corporate interiors, over and above simple space planning. In addition we had increased our product offering to meet the needs of small and medium sized, privately owned businesses, that were growing and needed a business partner to assist them in effectively optimizing their office space and create ergonomically safe and attractive workspaces for their staff.
