Rod Perry

President

Rod is a graduate (1985) of Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with a background in Kinesiology and Mechanical Engineering. Rod joined Sensyst in 1986 and assumed ownership in 1991. Since that time Rod has overseen the evolution of Sensyst from a vendor of office furniture to a complete solution office interiors company, allowing Sensyst to grow and expand and exceed our client’s expectations. Rod’s experience with large projects and tight timelines will bring leadership and knowledge to any project.

Melissa Kaiser

Senior Designer

Melissa has a diploma in Interior Design from Georgian College. She is an Intern Member of Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario, and member of Interior Designers of Canada (IDC). She is proficient in AutoCAD 2019. Melissa brings to Sensyst over ten years of commercial design experience in the areas of space planning, permit & construction drawings, finishes selection and project management with an emphasis on commercial spaces. Melissa joined Sensyst in September 2010 to strengthen our design services team.

Nicole Bodolai

Business Development/Furniture Specialist

Nicole is a graduate from George Brown College. She is a project manager and has a strong background as a furniture specialist. Nicole excels in furniture layouts, furniture specification, and finishes selection, along with full project management of furniture installations. Nicole also works closely with the marketing team to create business leads while discovering and exploring new business opportunities. Nicole is always finding new and innovative ways to increase sales.

Karly O'Krafka

Senior Designer

Karly has a diploma in Interior Design from Georgian College. She is an Intern Member of the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO), and member of Interior Designers of Canada (IDC). Karly brings to Sensyst over ten years of design experience in the areas of space planning, selecting finishes, construction drawings, and project management; with an emphasis on commercial spaces. Karly has worked with Sensyst since 2012.

Caren Yap

Intermediate Designer

Caren has a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from the University of Manitoba. She has her Building Code Identification Number (BCIN). Caren brings to Sensyst over twenty years of design experience in the areas of space planning, selecting finishes, construction drawings and permit packages; with an emphasis on commercial and spaces. Caren has worked part time with Sensyst. Caren has worked for Sensyst since 2012.

Weina Li

Office and HR Manager

Weina is a graduate of York University in Toronto, Ontario, with a background in Human Resources and Accounting. Weina joined Sensyst in 2015 and as a member of the management team she is responsible for human resources, finance, accounting functions, account management and coordinates client services. Weina plays a key role in developing design and furniture proposals and works closely with our clients, suppliers and installation partners ensuring that our Plan, Design, Build and Furnish projects are completed on time and on budget.

Lindsay Geerkens

Designer

Lindsay Geerkens is a 2020 graduate of Sheridan College’s Honors Bachelor of Interior Design program and is currently an intern member of the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO). She joined Sensyst in March 2021 and brings her knowledge as a furniture specialist and junior designer to help both the design services and furniture teams at Sensyst. She strives to ensure all projects have a unified and cohesive look between the design of the space and the furniture elements. She is currently working towards her NCIDQ qualification exams to become a registered Interior Designer. Lindsay is skilled in AutoCAD, CAP 20/20 programs, and Revit.

Emily Perry

Client Services, Installation Coordinator and Furniture Specialist

Emily has her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology (BA) and her Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from Laurentian University. Emily completes office administration duties such as developing quotations, furniture presentations, furniture specifications, furniture layouts, proposals, and purchase orders.  Emily hosts site visits with clients, trades, and vendors. She effectively creates accurate and detailed installation drawings, schedules and coordinates installations with clients and installers, as well as specializes in full project management of furniture installations.

Helen Chang

Administration and Sales Assistant

Helen joined Sensyst in January 2023 and brings over ten years of sales and administration experience. Supporting our sales, and furniture teams, Helen assists with quotes, presentations and preparing furniture orders; she provides administrative support for our management team and provides project management and coordination for commercial furniture installations – working closely with our clients, suppliers, contractors, and furniture installers – ensuring a successful installation.

Jeff Collingwood

Chief Operating Officer

Jeff is a well-rounded Collaborative Business Leader with demonstrated expertise in business operations, relationship management and marketing.  He is a graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland with a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. In collaboration with the president, Jeff oversees administrative, operational, human capital requirements, training, recruitment, marketing, budgeting, and financial functions at Sensyst. Jeff is leading the implementation of innovative technology solutions allowing Sensyst to grow, expand and better serve our clients. With our growth, Jeff is ensuring that we continue to attract the best and the brightest team members as we plan, design, build and furnish great spaces for our clients.

Ramez (Ram) Kilani

Furniture Specifier, BID

Ram holds a Bachelor of Interior Design from Yorkville University and brings five years of furniture specification, design, and space planning experience to Sensyst. At Sensyst he creates furniture layouts, furniture specifications and finishes selection, and provides sales support and prepares furniture installation drawings. Ram joined Sensyst in 2021 and he is proficient in Auto CAD, Sketch Up, Vray, CET, Project Spec and Project Matrix.

Morgan Johnstone

Designer

Morgan has completed her Bachelor of Interior Design from Conestoga College and is currently an intern member of the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO). She joined Sensyst as a Junior Designer in July 2022. Morgan is proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Revit, and Enscape. Morgan’s design philosophy incorporates and enhances the way users interact with spaces in which they work, learn and socialize through design. We look forward to exploring how Morgan’s contributions and keen eye will elevate our plan, design, build and furnishing process.

Razan AL-Mchalban

Senior Designer, BID, MSc.ENG Design

Razan, LEED GA, and PMP, is a detail-oriented Interior Designer with a bachelor’s degree in interior design from the United Arab Emirates. Razan has completed her master’s in engineering design from McMaster University Hamilton, Ontario. Razan has over twelve years of commercial, residential, office space, and hospitality project experience, specifically, in the areas of space planning, construction drawings, finishes selection, and project management. Razan is proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, InDesign, Photoshop, 3dmax, V-ray, Archibus for space planning, and Lumion for video creation. Razan is currently working towards getting NCIDQ qualification exams to become a Registered Interior Designer.

Natasha Di Carlo

Furniture Specifier, BID

Natasha is a 2011 graduate of Humber College with a Bachelor of Interior Design. She joined the Sensyst team in July 2022 and brings over six years of contract furniture experience as a designer and specifier. Proficient in AutoCAD, CAP 20/20, CET, Project Spec and Project Matrix, Natasha supports our sales and design team developing space plans and furniture specifications for our clients. Natasha works with our designers and the clients to select furniture finishes and prepares detailed installation drawings ensuring a smooth furniture installation for our clients. She ensures optimal furniture placement to the satisfaction of the client and sees the project through from start to finish.

Vanessa Parypa

Junior Designer

Vanessa is a graduate of Humber College, with a Bachelor of Interior Design. She worked as an Interior Design Assistant Intern during the summer of 2022 with Sensyst and is pleased to return to Sensyst as a Junior Designer. With a keen eye for detail, highly creative, and a strong sense for design trends, Vanessa is working with our design team we plan, design, and create unique office spaces for our clients. Vanessa is proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Enscape, Twinmotion, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
